Iga Swiatek reveals her tennis dreams

Iga Swiatek reveals her ultimate goal is to complete a Career Grand Slam and also clinch a gold medal for Poland at the Olympics.

This past fortnight, Swiatek captured her fourth Grand Slam title at the French Open. Now, Swiatek has three French Open and one US Open title in her collection.

In the other two Grand Slams, Swiatek made the Australian Open semifinal in 2022 and she also reached the Wimbledon round-of-16 in 2021.

In the summer of 2021 – in her Olympic debut – Swiatek was beaten in the Tokyo Olympics second round.

Swiatek opens up on her dreams
“Oh, that’s a very difficult question, because my dreams have kind of changed over the last few years.

It used to be mostly results and get to the WTA and be a player who, as they say, is consistent.

But now, first of all, I would like to find a little more balance in what I do and be able to concentrate more on the process and not necessarily on the results.

But I must admit that in the back of my mind, there is still a dream to win all 4 Grand Slams on every surface and maybe a medal at the Olympic Games.

I don’t think about it every day because I’m just trying to concentrate on the process, but it’s also my sporting dream,”
Swiatek said, per Tennis-Infinity.

Meanwhile, Swiatek is now taking a few days to rest before kicking off her preparation for the grass season.
Last year, Swiatek only competed at Wimbledon during the grass season.

For this year’s grass season, Swiatek’s plan is to kick off her grass season at Bad Homburg, which starts on June 25th. Then, Swiatek will head to Wimbledon hoping to make her first big result at The All England Club.

It remains to be seen if this is the year Swiatek makes her first great result at The Championships.
