Rory McIlroy Takes Latest Dig at LIV Golf: ‘They’re Very Aware of the Decision They Made

Rory McIlroy’s distaste for LIV Golf has not disappeared, new quotes from the Northern Irishman confirmed on Tuesday.

Ahead of his first-ever appearance at The Olympics in Paris, McIlroy was spotted on the range at Le National Golf Club in France, hitting balls and sharpening his game.

However, a press conference with McIlroy brought up familiar feelings about the rival promotion of the PGA TOUR. McIlroy said:

“I mean, I don’t think there’s any other way to do it because it’s hard to compare the golf that they play to the golf that we play. That’s the reason they didn’t get World Ranking points, right? So if you want to qualify for the Olympics, you knew what you had to do. Just like if you wanted to qualify for the Ryder Cup, you knew what you had to do. They were very aware of the decision they made when they did.”

Speaking from Paris, Rory McIlroy took a shot at LIV Golfers: “I mean, I don't think there's any other way to do it because it's hard to compare the golf that they play to the golf that we play.
