Serena Williams Embraces Motherhood Sacrifices as She Willingly Puts Business Commitments on the Backseat

Serena Williams has declared a significant change in her priorities. Williams is still going strong as an entrepreneur, but she has stated that being a “good mother” is now her top priority. After more than 25 years of success in the tennis world, Williams now focuses on nurturing her family and growing her business ventures.

The loving couple, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, are the parents of two daughters, namely, Olympia and Adira. Whether detailing struggles or expressing joy, Williams has always showcased her joy at embracing the magic of motherhood. Always vocal about how she manages her schedule after being a mother, the retired tennis champion has talked about how she tries to give more attention to her daughters. But she does that without compromising her own professional interests.

WYN Beauty, Williams’ latest business venture, is inspired by her life as a busy mom. During an interview on her recent achievement, Serena Williams once again shed light on her next goal in life. “I think that list never ends. Now, I really want to grow into this entrepreneur that I’ve actually been doing for the past 25 years,” she said. But apart from that, Williams emphasized the importance of her motherhood and shared a deep-seated desire. It is to put her family’s welfare ahead of her continued business endeavors.

“I’ve always been in this space, but actually focusing on my businesses and focusing on growing not only my brand but different brands and working with different founders as a venture capitalist. But I think the very next thing on my list is just to be a good mom”, she added.

In many interviews, Williams has spoken about how she juggles parenting with her busy schedule. After Adira’s birth, Williams once told in an interview how she wanted to put her above everything else. Furthermore, Serena Williams frequently shares her advice on handling two kids at home. And during her latest interview, she gave a candid update on the challenges of giving equal attention to both her daughters.

Williams has started to “sweat a little bit more”

Serena Williams revealed the struggles of balancing her ventures with her family life. She said how with two kids, one six years old and the other almost a year old, it becomes quite a task for her to manage everything. “It’s been really hectic to have two and then have all the brands. I’m starting to sweat a little bit more because now Adira recognizes me and she wants to come to me, and that honestly is so sweet and so cute,” she said.

“But then my other daughter Olympia, she’s six, and she still wants a ton of attention,” Williams further added. However, she opened up about how she loves the challenge and never steers away from hard work. As she moves through this transitional stage, Serena Williams is a source of motivation for all the mothers out there.
